OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season ROF (OE) is a performance and high performance, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model is an original equipment tire of select vehicles.

The tire has excellent all weather traction and, thanks to the tread design and tire compound, it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather. The tread designs circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire footprint. This improves the wet weather traction and the tires year round safety.

The model is a run flat tire, which means that in cases of air pressure loss the tire is capable of supporting the weight of the vehicle and the passengers temporarily, thanks to its special reinforced sidewalls. In other words, the tire can be driven on for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph if it loses air pressure due to a puncture or cut. This prevents the driver from being stranded on the side of the road. Instead, they can safety arrive at a destination where they can change or fix their tire. Run flat tires are usually made for vehicles that do not have space for a spare tire. Due to their heavier construction, run flat tires cannot be mixed with regular tires.

The reinforced sidewalls also increase the tires handling. It improves the steering responsiveness and accuracy and the high speed driving stability by maintaining constant road contact. The increased road contact stabilizes the tire against the driving pressure while also improving the steering response time and accuracy. It is swift and precise in its response to the drivers instructions, which allows the driver to confidently control the tire in all weather.

The tire also offers a longer lasting tread life. The tread designs full depth sipes make the tires usability last longer, as it does not lose its excellent traction with tread wear. Their specially designed placement avoids irregular wear across the tire surface, as the optimized tread pattern spreads the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking out across the tread area. The longer lasting tread life allows the tire to be used for a longer period of time, which make the tire more cost efficient.

The Eagle Sport All-Season ROF ROF (OE) is manufactured with a specially designed sidewall. This sidewall protects the rims from accidental curb damage, preventing costly wheel changes.
