OVERVIEW

The Groundspeed Voyager GT is a performance and high performance, depending on the speed rating of the specific size, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Groundspeed offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.

The model offers exceptional all weather traction. The tread pattern’s asymmetric design manages to find good road grip in dry, wet and winter weather. The tread features a higher number of lateral grooves and a detailed siping pattern that maintain a firm grip on the road surface all year. The wide circumferential and swooping grooves and the open shoulders manage to channel water and slush away from the tire’s footprint to prevent hydroplaning in wet and winter weather situations. The enhanced traction and hydroplaning resistance ensure a secure performance throughout the year.

The tire promotes excellent controllability. The special tread design keeps the tire closely following the road surface in all weather conditions thanks to the detailed center tread area and the independent shoulder tread blocks. In this manner, the tire’s structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it and the steering becomes quicker and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands. The shoulder tread blocks also manage to increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface and guarantee a safer cornering and maneuvering capability. The improved controllability guarantees a safer driving experience.

The Voyager GT provides a longer lasting tread life. The optimized tread design ensures a constant road contact which manages to lengthen the tire’s usability by preventing irregular tread wear formations. The tread design keeps the tire’s road contact at all times, which equally spreads the driving pressure out across the tread area. The evenly distributed force of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid uneven tread wear from forming along the tire’s surface, significantly extending the tread life.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
